A suspected mpox patient discovered on a passenger vehicle at the permanent inspection gate in Myanchaung, Kyaikto Township, Mon State, on the afternoon of September 5, has tested negative for the virus, according to sources close to the Kyaikto Township Health Department.

On July 16, a series of explosions occurred at Kayinlayseik Bridge on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway in Thaton Township, Mon State, according to local sources. The bridge, measuring approximately 10 feet in length and 54 feet in width, is situated between mileposts 134/6 and 134/7 on the highway.
